This rack will work just fine for anyone that isn’t planning to mount it directly to wall studs. The centerline of the mounting holes are 18 inches vs. 16 inches for hitting the studs. Also before I got to that point I realized I was going to have to run a tap through some of the rods to clean up the threads. I cut the rods down until I had 16 inch centerline for the mounting holes. I then drilled and tapped the rods. It works and looks as good as the HD version for about half the price. But if you don’t have the tools to do this don’t expect to be able to lag bolt it to the studs. It does come with decent hardware and wall anchors so it can bemounted to a wall without lagging into studs. But I wouldn’t trust that. If you’re prepared to do a little work this is going to work for you. If not I suggest sticking with the more expensive option.
