I am using this in an application where I need to run a remote vent. As such, I need to remove the installed vent plug. The first tank was completely cross threaded. Tank threads destroyed. The second tank was also a problem. While the vent plug appears to be screwed in straight, it was overtightened so it ripped out the threads. Both sets of bottom threads were fine on both tanks.
