I like to use threaded rod to mount them to the truck bed instead of the brackets. I can set them above the wheel at the height I want and when you raise the box you can rinse the salt off easier from behind the wheels. Has worked well for two seasons now. Trucks are used in the summer and we plow and salt in the winter.
