I added these to one side of my binders so I can hook directly to the J-hook. Doing so gains an extra 4 or 5 inches when securing an extra wide coil or plates on the flatbed. It makes a huge difference. I left the original 3/8 hook on the binder and added this along side in case I might need the smaller hook. I did have to grind a small bit so I could fit onto 3/8 chain but easy to do. Other than that, installing was a breeze.
