I was a little skeptical about buying these sidebars because it was hard to tell how they would turn out without a better picture of the finished project. Turns out that I love the look and functionality of these bars. In fact, this is the first review I have written on anything I have ever purchased on Amazon. They arrived very quickly and were well packaged so that nothing was damaged in shipment. All of the parts needed to install were well organized in separate packages inside the box. I had to read the instructions a couple of times, but if you separate which parts you need as you read them, it's not hard to understand and figure out. As one review stated, removing the middle frame bolts from the rubber bushing was a little tricky, but once you unscrew all of the thread, just give the factory bolt a little pry against the frame with the end of your wrench and they come right out. It is recommended that you have a helper to install, but I was able to do it by myself with no problem , and I'm not a great mechanic. If you need to, just use a cardboard box or wooden blocks to prop up the other end or middle of the bar, while you start the bolt on the other end. They fit perfectly, were easy to install and are very strong and sturdy. The powder coat finish looks great and they really stand out from the run of the mill factory OEM type side bars. The other reason I opted for these is that they are much more functional. They stand out lower and further away from the body of my Jeep so that it is easier to actually get your foot on and then pivot on to get into the Jeep. I had the factory OEM sidebars on my previous Jeep, but they were too small and close to the body to make them very functional. These bars make it much easier for my kids and shorter stature people to get into the Jeep. They function well, look great and I am very happy with this purchase.
