After weeks of agonizing over which standing punching bag to choose, I am SO HAPPY I picked this one. Like Indiana Jones, I chose wisely.First, I LOVE the design. It looks super sleek with the black and silver, by far the coolest looking of any I saw on the market. Shipping was way faster than expected, and I was fortunate to receive both boxes at the same time.It was easy to put together. The most time-consuming part, as anyone will attest to, is filling the base. We made a funnel out of a small cardboard box and the thick cardboard tube that tin foil rolls come on (we save them for crafts). We only used 3 1/2 50lb bags of play sand - less than $5/bag at the hardware store- and this thing is SOLID. We have it on a painted wood floor, I am sure the suctions do very little if anything at all, but even wailing on it with the hardest punches and lunge kicks it barely moves.I love the low-kick padding, this is a rare feature that I think is absolutely brilliant. Most standing punching bags have about a foot of exposed pole from the base to the bag. Why risk your shins like that?! I think that should always be covered, its definitely safer for kids and short adults like myself, and also gives the perfect proportions to practice low kicks. And it looks better!The bag itself is thinner than I expected, but I think it'll last a long time. I never thought we would have room for one of these, I'm so glad I took the chance on it cuz it takes up way less space than I thought it would, which is great cuz we have a VERY small house. It's set up in the corner of my son's room, looks wicked cool and is totally out of the way.Super fun, great exercise, tough, sleek and gorgeous - worth every single penny.
