I purchased these because of the brand, style/appearance and intention to use them for walking/hiking while out for a bike ride. They are very stylish appearing more like a cross training fitness shoes then the typically clunky MTB shoe. They are very light weight and fit perfectly, so they are very comfortable ( I wear a US size 10 1/2 and require a good sized toe box) and these work great. In spite of their lightness the sole is rigid and can handle as much power as I have applied so far. I have been using them on an indoor trainer (Concept 2 Bike Erg) with Shimano SPD MTB cleats and think they will be perfect for what I intended to use them for when Spring arrives.
