Dog loves this cozy cave. She perhaps loves it a bit too much and peed on the outside pullover lid. I caught this after finishing my breakfast so her urine had been on the cover for about 15 minutes. Unfortunately this soaked through the cover into the bed and onto the floor. While this may have good weather resistance properties I would not call it waterproof and I would say that even water resistance is a bit of a misleading statement. The materials don't absorb the liquid but they do easily pass it through. Everything was soaked including the stuffing which made of a less than awesome clean up. Other than that tough the dog finds it comfy, she snuggles right under the cover and I am very thankful that the tube and the cover to allow for a machine wash. I got the Large Celtic Sea Salt model. My dog is about 60 lbs and this bed is very spacious for her. I think I could have probably gone one size down and she would have still had plenty of room and it would fit a little nicer under my desk. All in all, its a great dog bed and putting a bit of a coating on the outside should prevent the bed from getting soaked next time.My dog loves this bed. It’s huge!My whippet dove right in!I like the new size and shape of this Snoozer bed. We've had several of the extra large round ones in the past, even for one whippet, because they like to stretch out. That takes up a lot of space in our small family room. I ordered a large in this version and it works just fine. It took a while (two days) for him to get used to the new bed. He was not going to get in it! But when he saw that it was the new bed or nothing, he decided it's pretty nice! Now he's happily sleeping in his new soft (not mashed down and worn out) bed.Much better for our little girl to burrow and get comfortable. We have the large round one that she loved but it took up too much space in rv. We took out the plastic pipe that holds it open and she loves.I have a rat terrier that gets cold from the A/C. He will awake me 1-2 times a night to put his blanket back on him. This hooded bed has been a good solution. However, he did not like the big mattress. Fortunately, I was able to unzip the mattress and push the filling up around the sides. Then, I removed some filling from the middle. Now he can nestle down into the center and rest his head along the side. I am pleased with the versatility.My dog needed a place he could feel safe during stormy weather. He snuggled in right away! Very happy with his new Snoozer Bed!After using a cheap $20 snuggler dog bed for over a year, I am so glad I made the switch and spent the money on this.Immediately upon opening I could tell the quality of the fabric. This thing is sturdy.The only reason for 4 stars and not 5, is I think the pad insert could be of better quality for the price. However, with this being the only item of its kind that I could find on the market, it’s still worth it to me.I am using this for my Miniature Pinschers kennel and it fits perfectly in there. Gives him room to stretch out if he wants. I’m considering removing the plastic tubing eventually, because he likes being fully under blankets and the tubing keeps the cover popped up.
