This thing is absolutely gorgeous. It looks like it was delivered straight from the video game. Its a deep, matte red. I adjusted the colors on my photos for a more comic book look, but the color in the seller’s photos is correct.I’d had the cheap Halloween mask that came with the costume shirt for Red Hood, and that flimsy mask didn’t even survive shipping. This thing is sturdy fiberglass resin, and it’s lovingly packed to prevent damage. The mask doesn’t really have a lot of give, so you won’t be stretching it around your ears. My ears stick out, so getting it on and off is not a quick affair. I have to ease it around my heads. Hoping that wearing a balaclava underneath will fix this issue. If your head is huge, this may not fit you. It comes with pads similar to what you’d find in a bicycle helmet, so you could wear this all day. If your head is small, you could add more padding.The large opening on the bottom prevents overheating and fogging on the eye films. The eyes are tinted, so low-light environments may be an issue for some. For me, it wasn’t that bad as long as there’s some ambient lighting and I kept my eyes on where I was going. Field of view is impressive for just two eye windows, but you won’t be operating a vehicle or anything. Your field of view is still restricted. (Duh, it’s a mask)It’s more like a 3/4 helmet than a mask. I’d recommend a summer-weight balaclava or a y’all neck/face gaiter underneath your hide your neck and protect your ears. This is worth every penny and I’m looking forward to wearing it out on Halloween!
