Identify the seal needed for the project by pulling up one side of the current seal to get a better idea of the profile and measure the dimensions. Note: some windows use more than one profile. 2. Measure the perimeter of the window to know how many feet of the seal you’ll need. 3. Refer to Steele Rubber Products to find the seal that best matches the profile of the current seal. Note: Steele Rubber Products also offers some Window Edge Weatherstripping solutions in white. 4. After receiving your new seal, make note of any mitered cuts at the ends of the seal. 5. Carefully remove the current seal and clean the surface of any debris that may be left behind with a cloth. 6. Install the new seal around the perimeter of the window by pressing it in by hand. A non-marring tuck tool may help with this process. Be sure to duplicate any mitered cuts that were present on the original seal. 7. After the new seal is installed around the perimeter of the window, stand back and admire your work. Read more What about the Rubber?
