I bought this helmet just prior to a 3-week motorcycle trip through the Philippines. I wanted something which would protect me, allow me to show my face to strangers, and keep me cool. The helmet delivered.I was compelled to buy this one after reading a few reviews where the owner crashed and tumbled while wearing the helmet. Thankfully I didn't have to give the helmet that test, so my review is on the other aspects of the unit.Fit: I measured my head and bought according to the guidelines I found online. The helmet felt incredibly tight when I first put it on. Over the first several days of wearing it about 8 hours a day, it seemed to conform to my face and felt just fine. I got a photo of my face with the front flipped up and you can see that the cheek pads squished my face up a bit, but it was not uncomfortable.Vents: I was wearing all black and riding in heat upwards of 90 degrees most days. I kept all the vents open and so long as I was moving, I wasn't uncomfortable. As I slowed down, I would open the visor or the face and that let in plenty of air. The vents never felt like AC or anything, but they were sufficient.Visors: I lost my prescription sunglasses the first day of the trip. Thankfully the sun visor in this helmet is very dark. It was sufficient that I never suffered without my sunglasses. The clear visor was great too. No issues, though I'd prefer if the tabs to open the visor were a hair larger.Face: The locking-open function is great. I was able to ride at any speed with the face open, and walk around with it open when needed.Strap: I like that it has the loops as well as a snap to keep the strap from flapping around.Light: I only rode at night once, but loved that I could hear the button click as I turned on and off the red light. This allowed me to know whether the light was on or not.All in all, great helmet at a great price!
