First, let me start off by saying I have extremely high arches. I have severe Plantar fasciitis to the point that I have to do exercises to stretch my feet and ACL about five to six times a day. I also own two pairs of Vionic, which are comfortable, but the arch support in their sneakers still isn't quite enough and the heel cup isn't quite cushy enough to help with the severe cramping and swelling I get after being on my feet for about 5 or 6 hours. I use Vionic flip flops as normal wear around the house since being barefooted is actually painful for me on hardwood floors. I work a tough job, being on my feet 8 to 12 hours a day. It's utter misery, and I've been relying on exercises, physical therapy, and NSAID's to manage the pain, but nothing quite helps.Until these shoes.I knew, as soon as I put my foot into this shoe for the first time, that this was the pair I'd been looking for. You would not believe the cushion under your feet. It's insane. If I could walk on clouds, this was it. I was concerned about picking up a shoe with so much cushioning. I'm prone to supination (walking on the outsides of my feet) because I favor my arches. It causes tremendous back, hip, and thigh pain for me. As soon as I put this pair on, I could feel the weight and stress immediately removed from my lower back and thighs. My hips didn't ache when I waked. The Vionic helped a lot, but this shoe... this is it.If you have high arches, this shoe is your savior. No joke. I cannot believe I can work a 12 hour shift on my feet and not have lower back pain. I'm more energetic all through work because I am not having to stop, rub, stretch my ACL's constantly, or put my feet up during breaks to get the cramping to go away. There is NO CRAMPING. My other issue was extreme stabbing pain in my heels. That's gone. The soles of my feet don't feel swollen and painful, and I've significantly cut down on my use of IB Profin and Aleve to alleviate pain. The heel cup is wide, and the toe box is excellent. I can wear my thick compression socks and arch support socks easily and still be comfortable in these shoes. They fit perfectly. They are TRUE TO SIZE! Unless you wear extremely thick socks or have an extremely wide toe box, your preferred size will fit you just right. Not to mention, these sneakers LOOK GREAT. (And I'm kinda picky about how my shoes look.)I still have small soreness issues after about six hours of working. A quick stretch of my ACL's and my feet, and I'm good to go for another six hours. It's because of these shoes that I'm happy to be at work and on my feet again. Don't just "think" about getting this pair of shoes if you suffer from the same extreme pain that I have. Just get them. Try them. Marvel at how much better you're going to feel.Saucony, thank YOU for this amazing product. You've changed my quality of life.I wasn't crazy about these at first but I like them now. I 1st ordered a size 7m (the size I wear in Asics and NB)...they were too small and very tight! I was going to order a 7.5 but was afraid they would still be too tight...I thought about ordering the wide but they were even more expensive, so I ordered an 8m. The 8 is a tiny bit longer but not enough to matter and they are wide enough. The other thing I didn't like at first is that they kept hurting my feet...pinching at the sides. You really have to loosen or tighten each row of laces to fine tune the fit...once i got that accomplished...they fit great. They seem to be good shoes but you may have to experiment with the laces to get them to fit perfect for you. Now I do like them, they are comfortable, light weight, a good shoe for running, jogging, walkingWhen I was in shape (5-6 years ago) and running 20-25 miles a week, including half marathons every Sat morning, I corrected my running style to stop heel striking. I tried vibrams and similar "barefoot" type running shoes but got stress fractures, so settled on Kinvara, which I used for years. Kinvara has a lighter, smaller sole with less incline than a lot of running shoes. Now, 80 lbs heavier, starting back running some, I thought getting a more cushioned shoe might help me avoid injury. Big mistake. Unless you're a heel-striker runner (I am not), these shoes may not be for you. And if you're used to a light running shoe, these may not be for you either.First impression, I am a true 10.5, maybe tend to run a little wide, but out of the box these were the right length but super tight. Had to almost completely unlace them. The tongue is so thick, it's like trying to tie a double slice of sourdough bread into the shoe. The soles are nice and comfy, when walking. Feels like walking on a couple of brick-sized marshmallows. When I pick up to run at a slow clip, these huge shoes became a hindrance. I had trouble clearing the huge sole (particularly in the back) from the ground. Trying to land in the mid-to-front part of my feet (like I have been running for years), was difficult and uncomfortable. To experiment, I ran a little, landing on my heels, and in that case the shoes were very comfortable. That's not how I run though (and not how one is supposed to run). When I was walking in the shoes outside (I was walking and running), the shoes were very comfortable. So, since I am trying to get back into running, these shoes may not work for me. I'll probably go back to my Kinvara's despite the hundreds of miles they have on them. I might alternate with these to experiment more, but I'm not holding out great hope. If they get better, I'll update this review.I have a long history of foot trouble with frequent ankle sprains, a bout of RSD of the foot, and a history of plantar fasciitis. Unfortunately, I also *slightly* under pronate. I owned a pair of Saucony Guide 8s which I absolutely loved for daily walking. I'd read some reviews of these shoes and had high hopes, as I'd read they were good running shoes for walking. At first, they were cushion-y underfoot and felt good to walk in around the house, but did feel a little snug in the toe box. After walking a few miles, my toes started to become numb and I felt like the ball of my foot was being squished from the sides. My right foot is slightly bigger than my left, so it was much more pronounced in the right shoe. I added an insole (partly gel, with some arch support) to the right shoe and it only changed things slightly for me. Now that I've had the shoes for just over 2 months, walking anywhere between 2 and 4 miles at a time (every day), the soles have started to wear out! I'm so disappointed in these shoes and though I've been trying to love them - I just can't. My feet are very unhappy after wearing them for even a short period of time. I'm now looking to replace them with an entirely different brand of shoe....Great price for some very high quality trainers. In store these would have cost me £140. I've been using them daily for several months now and I've had no ankle or foot pain - a problem I'd been experiencing with my previous pair of shoes. Service was 5* and they arrived very quicklyInitially I sceptical but didn’t realise how much old ones had deteriorated. They are an excellent neutral trainer great for jogging, ok in light showers , no rubbing. Can be worn all day easily. Good width .I have a very supinate step, these shoes are really good and comfortable for walking or running.I always buy larger in this size. I am a 4 and I buy a 5.Suit me perfectly. I like a running shoe that is cushioned but also flexible. The design and colour are great.
