I usually dislike leaving bad reviews but it helps others to know before buying and these awning do not deal well with rain even though they advertise that they repel rain. The design is flawed and leaves a fairly large gap between the wall and the awning allowing rain/water to just pour through onto the windows & sills. I'm pretty unhappy, feels like I just wasted a lot of time and money.I purchased this awning while it was on sale. Wouldn't have bought it for full price, but on sale it was an excellent value! I can't speak as to the ease to install because I didn't install it myself, but my handyman said that once he figured out how to put it together it was a breeze. Awning looks great and does exactly what it's supposed to - keep the sun from shining into my window but still letting in the light.Looks nice but a couple of faults. 1st, installation instructions are not very clear & had to figure a lot of steps on my own. 2nd, it states in the description the following " overlap and repel water and the sun..." ONLY good for the sun, has a gap on top between the owning & the house's wall therefore, when it rains the water drips onto the windows.I would i thought the materials could have been made with a thicker gage. The price was not that cheap for the product. I would not order it again!Very good. Love it. Very sturdy and still in great shape after going through 2 days of sideways rain and 100 mph winds of Hurricane Salley. I even had hummingbirds coming to a feeder under it in the storm. Now that is testimonial.Easy to put upAwesomeI bought this awning thinking I could here the rain from my bedroom. I still can't hear anything. Also I don't think its worth what I paid.
