This is probably my favorite chest protector my son has. We’ve tried Easton, all-Star and Force3. While the force3 is really nice, one downfall is the single adjustment point for the shoulder portion. The all-star solves this to a degree with independent adjustments but is of a lesser quality webbing than the Easton. The Easton elite x checks all the boxes. My son can easily undo the snap as it’s not the antiquated small metal bar some have. The independent shoulders allow for customization which is great for us because he’s 7 and although tall, is a smaller build. Its form fitting with very limited ride up while in position. We have used this same item in another color and I wanted to get something to match his current squad. Until he grows a bit (and maybe beyond) I’ll spend the money on the Easton chest protector. It’s a great fit and of good quality. Durability wise I don’t foresee any issues as it’s used for baseball, doesn’t have potential for a lot of rough abrasion damage. I do know from experience the chest protector cleans well and I’ve found our portable carpet cleaner does an excellent job.
