The spindle resistance is significant. It feels like it is packed full of grease. Effort is needed to rotate the pedal around the spindle. I read the instructions and tried to loosen the tension screw, though this did not make much of a difference. I purchased another pair of the same pedals and that one also exhibited the same level of spindle resistance. Can't find any resources online to confirm whether this is expected. All of my previous pedals have spun smoothly around the spindle.Spindle issue aside, the rest of the build quality is good. Lightweight, clean design.
