I can hear clearly when doing blood pressures .I love itIt gets the job done but It’s not my favorite, compared to littmann, I’d go with littmann. The earpiece metal part bends side to side when I’m auscultating, the rubbing is very thick. It’s just not my fave. The white part also got stained with my scrub colorDefinitely worth the money! With the experience I had with this stethoscope, the titanium did not live up to the expectation it was advertised in commercials. If you work in home health, or a decently quiet environment, this will do - ok, but in a 911 environment - at least with me - I couldn’t hear lung sounds all that well, especially in a moving ambulance. I’ve used a Littman master cardiology before, I would give the littman a 10 on sound quality, and the titanium a 5 or 6 on sound quality. If the patient had anything other than clear lung sounds, you’d be taking a uneducated guess on what it is. I can’t speak on the quality of the stainless steel version of this stethoscope, just be aware of the limitations of titanium. I believe MDF was being honest when they listed the limitations of titanium’s sound quality being less than stainless steel. The tubing if you leave it out on the dash will soften up, it is really light weight, and the vast color options are amazing. If you buy this or the procardial, just do yourself a favor and get it in stainless steel - and test it out and make your on decision within the return window. I missed the return window, but I’ll keep it as a back up if anything happens to my new littman cardiology IV.I really believe stethoscope sound quality vary per person, so take everything with a grain of salt. I believe you get what you pay for with stethoscopes.Zunächst war ich begeistert. Sowohl die Optik und Haptik als auch die Akustik haben mich überzeugt. Doch schon nach den ersten Desinfektionen nach Gebrauch mit üblichen Desinfektionsmitteln (auch für Oberflächen nutzbar) zeigten sich Arrosionen sowohl im Bereich des Bruststücks als auch im Bereich der Ohrbügel. Zudem lief Desinfektionsmittel unter die Membran, sodass sich die Flüssigkeit dort sammelte und eine seltsame bräunlich-blaue Farbe annahm. Ich probierte sämtliche Desinfektionsmittel, auch welche für ultra-sensible Oberflächen (bspw. für Schallköpfe), aber auch dadurch änderte sich nichts an den Arrosionen/Verfärbungen. Da ich das Stethoskop im klinischen Alltag ständig benutze (Notaufnahme, Stationsarbeit, Visite) benötigt es häufige Desinfektionen. Mittlerweile -es ist keine 2 Monate im Einsatz - kann ich es nicht mehr benutzen, da es "gammlig" aussieht. Es ist für mich völlig unbrauchbar geworden (siehe Fotos, eingravierter Name unkenntlich gemacht). Vor Veröffentlichung dieser Rezension nahm ich Kontakt zum Verkäufer auf, schickte ebendiese Fotos und alle benötigten Nummern (serial und lot number). Trotz Nachfrage vor 8 Tagen erhielt ich bisher keinen Lösungsvorschlag von mdf instruments. Von daher - eigentlich kein Punkt, rausgeschmissenes Geld! Für den klinischen Gebrauch nutzlos!!A good, not great, quality stethoscope. A clear strong pick-up when auscultating the chest and bowel sounds, as for heart sounds ...its okay. It's well made and although it's not a Litmans, its not far off. The head and diaphragm aren't quite the same quality but then then its half the price. I've used mine everyday for just over a year in all conditions ( I'm a Paramedic ) It's been thrown in the bottom of my bag, stood on, dropped, caught in door handles etc and it's taken me over a year to break it so its pretty robust. I'm here to order another replacement so that's the best recommendation I can offer. Why aren't I buying a Litmans....it breaks my ( penny pinching Yorkshire) heart when I leave them on scene...For the prices you couldn't have asked for better.This stethoscope saw me through FY1and FY2. Used in A&E and it was more than adequate for my level, and likely beyond. You are able to hear all murmurs, chest sounds, bruit and bowel sounds perfectly.If you're strapped for cash I would definitely recommend this stethoscope. You don't need a fancy Litmann to be a good clinician.Looks really nice (had many compliments about the black design over the two years), has a nice weight to it.eOnly limitation is that the bell and diaphragm are on different sides and sometimes the stethoscope turns without you realising. This is an issue with all stethoscopes of this design, so don't let that put you off.Will buy again if I need a new stethoscope.I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the Littmans stethoscope, as a paramedic I have a habit of losing my steths during shifts.I am so pleased with it, I think the hearing quality is actually better than the Littmans, and it is sturdy enough to being kept in my pocket throughout a shift.Would thoroughly recommend this product, I certainly won't be buying another brand again.And one more thing, one of the ear buds has gone missing, but having got in touch with MDF they are sending me a replacement pair (awaiting delivery at the time of writing) free of charge.Buy this and NOT a Littmann - 15 years front line nhs Ambulance service and MDF far excel other more pricey stethoscopes in every way! Lifetime warranty and superb craftsmanship make this the stethoscope of choice at 1/2 the price. MDF has never let me down
