I was expecting an identical product to what was advertised. In this particular case I was wanting the cliassic "yellow Dr Martins" stitching. As you can see by my picture, there isn't any yellow stitching. This could be any shoe at a glance. Could even be a "knock-off".Dr Martens makes an excellent product, but for this particular shoe/style/product there is a discrepancy in their sizing. I wear a size Men's11D (US) and for every other shoe I've bought for the last 20 years this has held true, including Dr Martens Gumbys (excellent shoe also). This Adrian loafer is the only shoe I've had to return and reorder one size larger (Men's 12D (US)). Upon receiving the larger shoe and trying it on, it fits as if it were my normal size. Of course it fits tight like a quality leather shoe should, as it breaks in it will stretch and conform to your foot. were it not for the issue of sizing, this would be a perfect shoe. Every other aspect of the shoe is absolutely top notch and worth the money you pay for them. I have no problem recommending these shoes to anyone, male or female, just be prepared to order one size up or be ready to send them back for an exchange.Odd fit. I’m a 9.5. I always go for a UK 9 but these are so loose for some reason. I also ordered a UK 8 and it was too small ! I still have the UK 9 (men’s 10) but they are loose. I wear them with some padding. Stylish but the fit is off !It's hard to describe the fit of these, so I'll try to be as detailed as possible. My shoe size is 10.5M or 10W in US Men's sizing. I ordered these in UK 10, which is US 11, which was close... but...1. The section near the ankle gapes open when you step on the ankle part of the shoe. The sides open up, and it's very loose in that area. When you walk with the shoes on, your ankle lifts off from the sole of the shoe a little bit, and it's just not a good fit.2. Now in contrast, on the sides of the fit, and around the toes, it is very narrow. I don't know if it's because I have wide feet, but it squishes me.3. Now one of the most annoying things is when you walk is squeaks really audibly. It sounds like you're rubbing two pieces of rubbery PVC or bondage leather together as you walk across the hallway. So in summation, it's not a comfortable, or really consistent fit, and it squeaks. I love love LOVE the design, especially with Doc Marten's signature shoe bottom part, especially with this design, but it's just not worth it. It makes me sad. And the 1461 and 1460s fit me just fine. Not sure why this one is a tough cookie.Let me start off my saying I absolutely ADORE these shoes! They looks amazing. They're this beautiful dark red color and shiny, but not too shiny (in my opinion). They're also very comfortable, and I love how they're nice enough to wear with something dressy, yet casual enough to wear every day if you want. Also, they came WAY faster than I expected and the service was great. I bought the wrong size at first, but the vendor was great about helping me return the wrong size so I could purchase the right one. Really, really happy with the shoes and the service!Looks good love it. Very comfortable. Strange that my size for other doc martens shoes are 10 US. But for this I have to get a size 9. It feels a little snug but one size larger is way too loose.Awesome shoes first off. I use them for work, on my feet all day, and they are comfortable. Let's get this out of the way. Doc's are rough on your feet until you break them in. For me it took about 2 months of using 5 days a week for them to be completely broke in. They look awesome. They are formal enough to wear with a suit, but have enough attitude to stand out.I’ve been wearing Dr Martens for about 30 years, got a pair for every occasion and even wear the 1460’s to work. I’m a mailman, so imagine what these boots are going through. The quality of these shoes is fantastic, they last for decades if treated right!Had to size up in these (I’m a 9 and sometimes an 8 in Docs but ended up getting these in a 10 as they are quite narrow). Now that they’ve softened up, however, they are a bit too long, however i do prefer them with a gel insole as I find DMs to be a bit too flat for high arches.Beautiful leather and a really nice smart shoe.Only issue is they do slip off a lot and (of course) take a bit of wearing inLooked great when they arrived. The usual you would expect from Dc Martens. Unfortunately it was impossible for my husband to get his foot in to them, they are so high on the instep and there is no elastic gussets which would have made ease of putting them on better. They had to be returned, which is a great shame. Unable to bend easily ,slip on shoes are the only alternative, in this case that wasn't to be. My daughter has 3 pairs of Dc Martens ranging from the high leg lace fronted boot to the type the police wear, she swears by them, the next pair will be from Camden Market where they paint them in all sorts of designs, they look amazing.Best Dr Martens I have ever bought! I will definitely be saving up for a black pair of these too! I got them a week ago and have worn them every day since and they haven’t rubbed at all like Docs usually do. They’re super comfy and look great and fit very well. The only hing I would say is that the band part that goes over the foot makes it quite hard to get your foot into the shoe, and I only have very narrow size three feet so I imagine it would be extremely hard to get these on and be comfortable if you have bigger/wider feet. Overall though, they are worth every penny and I’m so glad I finally got a pair!Great item these were £40 cheaper then in the local shops so I was apprehensive about ordering for my fussy 15 year old but she was pleasently surprised and happy with them , they fitted just like her other docs and came in the doc Martin box which she was pleased about ,I paid for next day delivery and they arrived the followed morning 5***** service and highly recommendThe 5 stars are for Amazon and for Scorpio Shoes for the exceptional way they dealt with my order. And also, eventually for the shoes themselves.I used Amazon because the Adrian Smooth in cherry red, with the tradeamrk contrast stitching on the soles have been out of stock on the DM website for quite a while. The pair I originally ordered were too small, despite being the size I normally take, so I would advise future purchasers to do the same. From my experience I found the instep to be very high, and because the shoes are slip-ons, it made it very difficult to get them on. Buying a size larger makes them much easier to get on and to wear. It really doesn't seem to affect the overall fit at all.For the last 30 years or so I have always bought Doc martens for both work and pleasure, because of their comfort and pracricality, and these shoes do not disappoint. For an aging mod like me they are ideal and hark back to a more civilsed age (when I was a lot younger and slimmer). They look cool as well, especially when worn with a "tonic" suit!!To summarise, i would say that they are well worth the money and the inconvenience of having to exchange them. Highly recommended.
