I am happy with the quality of the materials. The mesh pants flow air very well. I just took them out for a 90-minute spin in 75 to 80 degrees temp and my legs were very cool. I have another pair of high quality mesh pants that do not flow air as well as these do. I’ll use those for balmy days and the new Rocket mesh pants for warm and hot days. Re the fit, I have a 34” waist and the large size fit well. There are adjustable Velcro side straps to tighten or loosen as needed. I have a 33” in-seam and find these pants to have a 34” in-seam, a bit longer than I prefer. I would not recommend the large size pants for shorter people. Again, good quality, made well. Ciao!I'm "big", but not "tall". Very round, with short legs (even for my height, I have short legs). These fit perfectly around the waist, so the size chart was right on the money. They are a bit long for me, even in "short" size, but as I said, I have short legs. No one makes pants that fit me right. Unlike jeans, these can't really be hemmed. That said, by the time I throw my leg over the bike and bend the knees to put my feet on the pegs, they're just fine. The zippers up the inside of the legs make them very easy to put on over my riding boots. I imagine once I lose enough inches around the waist to wear these as overpants, this will make them easy to get on over a pair of slacks or jeans.Wearing them while riding, they feel great. Because of my short legs, the knee armor actually feels a bit low when standing up, but they are about right when in the riding position. Air flows nicely through them, so when it gets hot here in Texas, they'll be nice and comfy (though the black might take a beating from the sun. Couldn't get them in Silver without waiting.)Pros: Good fit. Comfortable. Good air flow without being "fish nets". Pockets generously sized. High-quality construction. Zippers on pockets work easily while keeping contents of pockets secure.Cons: No hip pockets, only the two front pockets. Snap on the front really does open too easily (by the time it popped a third time, it wouldn't even pretend to snap closed after that. That said, the "hook" on the waist is very sturdy, so the snap really just keeps the extra fabric from flapping around, and my coat covers that.I'm 5'8 and normally wear 34x30 jeans. The Short-Large size fits perfectly in the waist but is way too long and the pads don't line up very well. I was stepping on the bottom of these pants even with motorcycle boots on. The knee and hip pads started about 3" below where they should. These are probably ok for someone with a 32" inseam but I would not recommend for 30".These pants are padded in all the right places. They're big enough to wear over jeans, etc., but also great to wear over shorts in hot weather. The air goes right thru them - really feels cooler than wearing jeans, etc., and more protection also! I wear a 30-inch inseam in regular pants, so ordered the short ones - fit perfect. Cover the top of my shoes when sittting, so good protection...Waist adjuster broke on first use.
