I recently put a flat bed on my pickup and added these stairs on passenger side . They are the slickest thing , getting me up and into the bed . I just hope over the years they operate the same .The buyers products folding ladder seems well built and is easy to climb up and down. Stored position angles down at a 45 degree angle. I can’t say I would trust it to stay in place rolling down the highway at 65 without modifications. After drilling and installing on my Chevy kodiak I was disappointed in its overall design. After some modifications the ladder in the stored position is completely flat, or parallel to the floor of the body, and folds down to a 15 degree angle. By doing this it eliminates the need for a extra support to hold the ladder flat in the stored position. Initially I was disappointed in its design but after some re-engineering it suits my needs perfectly.The square is precisely aligned with the vertical arm and the step isn't close to being 90 degrees. Free returns though, so no big deal. I'll just get another one and hope it's better.One thing I love about these is that the steps are ~14 inches apart and if you have ~42" high deck (which I do) each step from the ground to the deck will be about the same. This height is pretty typical of a flatbed truck camper on an overland rig.You will need to do a little fab work... a latch or strap to keep the ladder from sliding back out when stowed, plus C channel pieces on each side mounted to the bottom of the deck to hold the ladder horizontal when stowed.i ordered this item and received junk. The hardware was missing and the item was severely damaged. The instructions were useless, but to be fair, it is a simple design. I contacted the company to see if they would send new hardware that was missing... I received an intial response and then... crickets. So, back it went since it was unusable.Well built and easy to install. Had to fab a bar under the steps when retracted because truck didn’t have a pocket to install. Overall good product. Wish it stuck out from the rear of the truck a little more so it was easier to see when climbing down. This might just be the truck its mounted on though. International 4300 squirt boom bucket truck. Still works good though.Very good quality steps super super thick!Purchased from Amazon Warehouse at discounted price, so it's bargain.Very robust and easy to install and useWorks just like I need it too. This is definitely higher quality than the original I had.Could use a means of supporting the ladder horizontal when in the stowed position as well as a means of locking it in place when stowed but in all very well constructed.Great addition to F-550 dump box to make it easier to climb in and out of box.Well made and sturdy
