This is a nice way to use a larger padlock on a smaller hole (like a locker or storage unit), so I'm glad it arrived with the thicker shackle so that it's stronger (the "U" shaped hoop that passes through a hasp). The thinner hasp photo would be so thin as to not provide any security.Perfect companion for a bigger lock like an Abus 190cs/60, which is probably the only secure combination padlock extant. (May require some minor drilling of this hasp, which should be a piece of cake and only take a few minutes).I would think of it as an adapter to let you use a larger padlock on a smaller hole (hasp).It can also serve its original purpose of a safety lockout for multiple padlocks. Stainless steel is great.
