I ordered this for my crafting cardstock after being given a similar, older one from a friend. Now I wish I’d bought 2. The older one I gave us only 20 slots so I could have used the extra 3 slots. It arrived without any damage and was easy to hang. It’s very sturdy…holds 23+ packages of heavy cardstock (40 sheets each package)The Safco 23-pocket steel magazine/literature rack is an efficient way to store magazines and/or literature as well as brochures. It allows you to make use of unused or dead space. Its 23 slots offer maximum storage for such racks. Construction is typical, however, one of the slots' spot weld on my replacement unit, was missing, but did not cause a problem. The first one I received was damaged. Both the top and bottom were crushed beyond repair even though the box showed no physical damage. Damage was probably caused by manhandling at the UPS distribution center, not an uncommon event with this carrier. Better packing material would certainly go a long way to minimize such issues. Amazon was responsive to issuing a call tag resulting in UPS picking it up the next day. A credit was issued and I ordered a new one, ironically at a slightly lower price. I highly recommend this product for both value, the best price I found on the web and at retail, as well as its efficiency and organization!Ordered two of these, and they will do the job they were intended to do, but like so many other reviewers, they both arrived damaged. So much so, I went back to double check my order to see if I had accidentally ordered used items (no). The outer boxes were not damaged, so I doubt very much this happened during shipment. I feel like we are owed some kind of monetary compensation for the damage. We are keeping them, because they still work, and returning them would be a major pain in the butt. However, order these assuming they will arrive with dings, dents, and chipped paint. The item is good for what it is and functional. The biggest problem is all the dents during shipping! I had four--one on the top, one on the bottom, and one on each side. Because I didn't want to sent it back only to receive another dented item, I just banged out the dents and put it up. I will also have to use some black touch up paint. The dents will not be real obvious in the location I am using it, but if this will be on the wall without other items next to it, you will probably not want it.Looks great, but as everyone else complained about as well, the packaging could be better. The unit was bent mostly around the back corners when I got it. It was not too bad in my case so I elected to keep it.The product is well made and easy to hang. Notice I said hang because it arrived with any number of bends and damage to the mental edeges and would not have fit on to a base. Pleae note that the box had been retaped and such. I elected to use some auto body tools I had and fix it as to return it would have been a hassle. The bottom was bent when received and I had to tape the bottom cover to the rack. This was a donation from my wife and I to our public library here n New Kent Co., Va. it was embarrassing to us.No, I didn't return. Return shipping for a replacement was too costly, plus the chances the replacement would arrive also damaged were too great. Shipping was extremely fast- item is just what I ordered, aside from the mangled corner. I would order from this vendor again without hestitation. Delivery service is what it is.We are using these in a mechanic shop to "control" paperwork. We are able to keep work orders / invoices / parts invoices per job in a slot. We had to add cup hooks to the side of each slot to hang keys. Works well; is very sturdy and should be a one time purchase.Product is made of very thin metal and arrived with dents in it. The top metal piece wouldn't fit on top so I'm not using it. Rack is useful for organizing, but I didn't realize the base was an extra purchase. I decided to secure it to the wall instead of forking out the extra cash.Thought it came with a base but didn't.
